Unfortunately, Twitter has changed its searching functionality, so Twaddler no longer works as of June 2013. I will fix this in the future, but it's down for the time being.
Twaddler was unable to locate you and therefore doesn't know where home is.
What is Twaddler?
Twaddler live streams geotagged tweets from around a given area, such as your home town, but you don't have to stay there.
You can check out what's happening in London, New York, Paris, anywhere! Just use the Go To box.
Do I need a Twitter account?
Does Twaddler track my location or information?
Absolutely not. Twaddler uses your location to get an idea of where you are when it starts up.
Nothing is stored on a server, Twaddler is completely anonymous.
How can I enable or disable my tweets from showing up?
Twaddler only displays tweets with a geotag, not just a location. Twitter sometimes has problems
assigning a geotag to a tweet, so a good way to check if your tweet is geotagged is to see if it has a little
map icon underneath it on your feed. Twitter has more information about
geotagging your tweets here and mobile specific information here.
Is there a mobile version?
Yes! There is a version customized for smartphones. Just go to twaddler.ca in your phone's browser.
Why do I start in San Francisco?
Twaddler was probably unable to locate you (or you live in San Francisco). Twaddler first asks your browser for your location. If it doesn't
know (or if you don't let it say), then it asks Google. If Google doesn't know, well, then you start in lovely San Francisco! Try adjusting your browser or phone's security settings.
